Radiotherapy

Radiotherapy includes external therapy (external) and internal therapy (brachytherapy).

In external therapy, ionizing radiation from the outside of the body transmits into the body at a certain distance and angle. In internal treatment (brachytherapy) radioactive substances enter the body cavities or the Lumina of the body, (for example, in treatment of esophagus tumors and cervix tumors and ...) or enter into the body tissue.

Common illnesses in the section: Breast cancer, rectal cancer, adenocarcinoma (colon cancer), gastric cancer, prostate cancer, and lung cancer

External radiotherapy department

In this department, radiotherapy is used to treat and control tumoral diseases, including cancers. Two radiotherapy devices of the Siemens Primus model, which are capable of producing ionizing radiation with an energy of 15.6 (MW), are used.
