Endoscopy - colonoscopy - bronchoscopy

The department of endoscopy and colonoscopy and bronchoscopy is equipped with endoscopy, colonoscopy and bronchoscopy devices.

Activities of this unit include:

Performing endoscopy and colonoscopy for outpatients and inpatients, performing biopsies and polypectomy if they were needed, controlling bleeding in the stomach and intestines, detecting gastric and intestinal cancers, and placing peg for patients admitted to ICU.

Performing endoscopy and colonoscopy requires the judgment of gastrointestinal super specialists and it can be accompanied by anesthesia if it was necessary. Controlling gastrointestinal bleeding in patients, and placing the PEG for patients who need to be fed through the tube. For patients who have polyps during colonoscopy, polypectomy is done.

Initially, the patients receive consult from the clinic physician or from physicians of the hospital, or doctors at their office the request is given by the physician to the patient.

Patients arrange a session through telephone call prior to performance of endoscopy or colonoscopy and are mandated to comply with the conditions specified by the physician.

If one uses some different kinds of insurance, he should visit the specific department with his insurance booklet. In the absence of an insurance booklet, in cases of extended insurance, and according to type of contracts, a letter of introduction is required from the insurance company.
