• Before the procedure
  Patients should stop smoking 3 to 5 days before the procedure. Smoking affects the blood flow that delays the healing time. They shouldn't drink alcohol 3 days before the treatment. Doctors should take medical history. Since some medications such as aspirin, plavix and dabigatran or warfarin and rivaroxaban and any anti-inflammatory medicine like ibuprofen or celecoxib should be held under the doctor’s supervision. Also supplements such as gingko biloba, omega 3, fish oil and vitamin B & E must be held due to the increasing risk of bleeding during the surgery.
  
  
• During the procedure
  At first, the doctor draws blood and put in into centrifuge for about 10 minutes. The different parts of the blood become separated. The platelet rich plasma is removed and injected into the area.
  
  
• After the procedure
  The number of treatments depend on the area which is being treated. For example, dark circles around the eyes and smile lines need 3 treatments, while acne scars may require more treatments. Puffiness in the lower eyelids is common for about 36 hours after the treatment of the area. Mild swelling, redness and bruising is expected on the area of treatment.
